Marc Hirschfeld is a nationally recognized expert in computer forensics and eDiscovery, with over 15 years of experience helping attorneys turn digital chaos into courtroom clarity. As the founder and president of Precision Legal Services, Marc has built a reputation for providing small and mid-sized law firms with the same cutting-edge forensic capabilities typically reserved for BigLaw — without the overhead or red tape.
Marc has been appointed by courts across the country to forensically collect and analyze digital evidence in high-stakes litigation. He has served as a testifying expert in both state and federal courts on issues ranging from metadata authenticity to spoliation and forensic collection protocols. His testimony has been pivotal in securing sanctions, defending against them, and unraveling complex discovery disputes.
Marc doesn’t just collect data — he crafts litigation strategy around it. He’s known for deploying advanced technologies such as AI, predictive coding, email threading, clustering, and near-duplicate detection to help legal teams uncover the signal in the noise. When facing a digital discovery crisis, Marc is often the first call litigators make — not just to solve the problem, but to seize the advantage.
Before founding Precision Legal, Marc served as General Counsel to a private equity fund and began his legal career at a boutique D.C. litigation firm. He holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and is admitted to the Maryland and D.C. Bars.
Marc has been invited to speak alongside judges and industry pioneers at conferences including Legaltech, the Federal Bar Association, and the Maryland State Bar Association. He’s published on topics at the intersection of law and technology — from social media evidence to the impact of cloud computing on digital discovery.
When the stakes are high, and the data holds the truth, Marc helps you find it.
